SMR Learning
Certificate Program in KM/Knowledge Services
Taking advantage of the strategic alliance between SMR International and SLA’s Click University, participants in the Certificate Program in Knowledge Management and Knowledge Services can earn a knowledge management (KM) certificate, a knowledge services certificate, or a dual certificate in both disciplines.
The courses of the SLA Click U / SMR International Certificate Program in KM/Knowledge Services address one of the most important issues facing knowledge workers in the current economy, the management and delivery of knowledge services in the workplace. According to recent data, managers with hiring authority identify knowledge management as an “important” or “very important” skill set. Additionally, knowledge workers employed in KM/knowledge services enjoy higher-than-average salaries across the board, an average of US$ 85,039 annually.
The SLA Click U / SMR International Certificate Program in KM/Knowledge Services provides the intellectual framework for knowledge professionals with management and service-delivery responsibility for knowledge services. Although designed as a complete “package,” the courses of the program can also be taken individually for participants who do not choose to pursue the certificate, and many participants choose to begin their KM/knowledge services studies with a single course (or two, as individuals considering a full certificate program can transition to a full program with considerable financial incentives after successfully completing two courses in succession). Individuals taking courses in the Click U / SMR International Certificate Program in KM/Knowledge Services program can begin their study at any time in the certificate cycle, and the courses are appropriate for seasoned KM/knowledge services professionals and are particularly valuable for other knowledge professionals not currently performing a KM/knowledge services function.
