  Looking for feedback here. As most of our colleagues and clients know, my role at SMR International is pretty broad-based. I mostly work as a consultant and teacher in KM, knowledge services, and knowledge strategy development. Specialized Librarianship 2003-2012: Observations from an Interested Colleague

  Since 2003, the Checkpoint Charlie Foundation of Berlin has sponsored the John Jacob Astor Award in Library and Information Science to recognize “German or American persons who have made a special contribution to transatlantic knowledge transfer.” The Foundation recently asked award winners to describe developments in their particular area of library and information science since receiving the award. I was honored to be the John Jacob Astor Award recipient in 2004, and I’ve prepared my report and sent it along to the Checkpoint Charlie Foundation.
